Something blue…

Congratulations to Megan and Cameron! The lovely couple were married at St Andrew’s Church on 6th December 2013. On a glorious Friday afternoon, friends and family gathered at the St Andrew’s Church to witness the pair exchange their vows.  The First Class Functions floral team created a truly spectacular entrance at the church with an arrangement of woven hearts and white roses on stone pedestals  either side of the door and an incredible flower garland of white flowers and vine across the top.  Inside the […]

Tickled Pink in Noosa

Tickled Pink in Noosa

Congratulations to Kasia and Hayden who tied the knot on 19th October 2013! The couple exchanged their vows under the Pandanus trees at Maison La Plague in front of 80 of their closest family and friends.  The ceremony was styled by First Class Functions and as guests took their seats, white rice paper lanterns and hanging ribbons with pastel flowers swung overhead. A tasteful splash of pink was extended to the décor from the bridesmaid and flower girl dress (how gorgeous is little Matylda?!) through to the […]

Shades of Grey

Shades of Grey

A grey, winters afternoon was a surprisingly perfect backdrop for this stunning wedding.  With a colour palette of crisp white and black, satin accents, the décor stood out in magnificent contrast to the ombré sky. The ceremony was by the Noosa River next to Ricky’s Riverbar and Restaurant, which is where the elegant reception followed.  As white lanterns swayed overhead, guests took their places on white chairs, ottomans and benched dotted with luxurious black and silver cushions.  A rose-petal scattered aisle […]

Morning Glory

Morning Glory

As the temperature beings warming up on the Sunshine Coast, the August weather has been absolutely glorious.  This was certainly the case for Mitra and Robert as they declared their love with a very intimate morning wedding. The couple exchanged their vows at Hidden Grove on Noosa’s Hastings Street, under a beautiful arbour, adorned with white roses, andromeda, ivy and jasmine vine.  The natural aesthetic of the Noosa National Park and beach provided a beautiful setting for the ceremony and was wonderfully complimented by […]

Something Old

Something Old

“Vintage is a soft, eclectic style that embodies our nostalgia for days gone by.” – Christina Strutt (Author of Cabbages and Roses: Vintage Chic.) The romantic notion of combining delicate lace and printed fabrics, everyday household items like white enamel pitchers and coloured glass bottles, pretty china plates and dishes and beautiful cottage-garden blooms to create a personalised style has made the old-fashioned fashionable.  And when it comes to styling a wedding, this romanticism translates beautifully across to the celebration […]

Happiness on Hastings Street

Happiness on Hastings Street

On Saturday, the First Class Functions team headed to the world famous Hastings Street to coordinate the wedding ceremony of a lovely interstate couple.   The weather was a perfect 23 degrees, with hardly a cloud in the sky – the perfect setting for a very romantic ceremony by the sea.   Ricky’s River Bar and Restaurant provided the setting for the elegant reception.  The couple chose simple white centrepieces to compliment the stunning waterfront views teamed with lots of soft, […]

Rain, rain, go away!

Rain on your wedding day is supposed to be good luck.  But when you peer out of the window on your special day and its pouring down, you may not feel so lucky.  In fact, you may find your stress levels start to skyrocket – and this is why it is so important to have a wet-weather back up plan. Unfortunately the Sunshine Coast’s name can be a bit deceptive.  Our picture-perfect, golden beaches tend to get thoroughly soaked during […]
